for the rear defrost you will have to get behind the switch and test for the proper wire and see if it is pulsed or latched, you can use a number of wires from the alarm brain, i would use the WHITE/ violet wire from H2/6 if the wire in the car is a negative trigger

this is how you will get into programming mode, you will want to change menu 1m option 1 to number 3 for passive

1. open a door

2. turn ignition on then off

3. Select a Menu. Press and hold the Control button. The number of siren chirps indicates the menu number.

1 chirp indicates menu 1, 2 chirps - menu 2 and 3 chirps for menu 3.

4. When the desired menu chirps are heard, release the Control button.

5. Select a Feature. Press and release the Control button the number of times corresponding to the featureyou wish to change. Thenpress and hold one more time to select the features.

6. Program the Feature. While holding the Control button, you can program the feature using the remote

control.

Camry has no comfort closure. You'll need window module(s).
Rear defroster, if I remember right, is either yellow/light blue, or light blue / YELLOW or yellow/light green.
It's at the fuse box in a plug just below the fuses, and is low-current negative trigger.

That point about passive arm and lock. DON'T. Passive arm is a bloody nuisance when you get back to your car having gassed it up and you've left your key  in the car. Now think about passive arm and lock and do that at 3:00am and then think how much fun that's going to be. Our old workshop policy was to get the cars in then immediately open the driver's window and take the keys with us. N.B. With a 530t the only way to make it work as per spec., i.e. one shot open/closing from ALL window switches is to go to the motor wires on ALL the window motors.

What is pulsed and what is latched?

It's called validity and latched in installer terms!

Validity is a signal that will continue as long as a transmission is recieved

Latched is a signal that will remain on and stay on until de-activated by the remote

Pulsed i'm sure is self explanatory! Pulsed however is only available on the blue/white defroster wire! I think! I'll check it and get back to you for sure!
