I recently installed an Avitel 4100 Remote Starter in my friends 2005 Grand Prix. The issue is that the message center is broadcasting a security system warning message on the display. I used a universal transponder bypass module to bypass the PK3 system in the car. It starts beautifully except for this error message. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you use the right ignition wire?

NOTE *1 there are (2) PINK (+) wires that test as an Ignition wire, to test for the correct PINK IGNITION wire. Place the Key in the Ignition Switch but do not turn to the ON position. Try the remote starter, if the KEY in the IGNITION CHIME turns on, you are energizing the correct PINK Ignition wire.

The search feature will often find you what you need.

I did a search and that post wasn't relative to my situation. I don't have a wire to keysense, and that remote starter doesn't have a ground while running output to use for a keysense wire. Thank you though.

I went directly to the ignition switch to catch the iginition wire and there was only 1 pink there. Will this be the difference perhaps?

They were referring to using the GWR to power the keysense at the ignition harness. The R/S has a GWR.
