65 mustang door lock actuator

Im trying to install some aftermarket actuators into a first gen mustang. Any pics or advice? Im not sure how to go about mounting the actuators. There is space for an easy install right next to the latch inside the door however the interior door panel would not cover the mounting screws since the panel only covers about 2/3 of the door. ideas? heres a quick ms paint of whats going on, it would be easy to install the actuator inline with the lock rod but the door panel only covers the brown area.

you can bend the rods in a way so that the actuator can be installed using the supplied bracket behind the door actuator, or turn the actuator so thatthe screws would be on the striker side of the door frame as many factory lock actuators are riveted in the striker side, just keep it neat and use good quality screws

Use a heavy gauge metal bracketing, NOT backstrap material,  and you can attach it behind the panel, but position it by the rods.

you could use a two part epoxy like Speed Grip to glue mounting brackets to the inside of the door.  Then you could mount the actuators where you want with out drilling holes or having exposed  screws or rivits.
