I haven't been back on this website since I google my users name and it showed up... I did a Viper 550 ESP back in 2002 on my Acura Integra remote start manual 5speed and was successful from the help of the folks in here which was my first alarm. Thanks again
Easy but time consuming
I bought a 2008 Nissan Truck which is also a stick and I'm trying to install a Viper 5701 alarm on the truck. Here are my questions
1. Do I need a bypass or immobilzer for this truck which my truck is the lowest class just the key. I'm not sure if this key has a chip or dio what ever you call it
2. anyone have the wiring diagram for my truck, I only found the exterra wire diagram hoping its the same... MANY THANKS

Here is a link to Bulldog Security for wiring info : http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.asp

Here is a link to AudioVox for their wiring info :  http://techservices.audiovox.com/login.aspx  Sign-up is free.

The 2008 Frontier should have a transponder immobilizer system.  There are many good bypass' available for this vehicle.

Soldering is fun!

Thanks for the relay help. The thing was driving me crazy, So I just bought the DEI 451M lock mod.
I hooked up the follow to my Viper 5701
RED / GREEN/ blue. I had to cut because it had no socket to fit in the alarm so I spliced it to the following connections
red-Constant 12 Volt
Green- to alarm green
Blue- to alarm blue
White
Brown- both ground
Purple- 12 Constant
Blue- Blue Actuators
Green- Green Actuators
I want to put a toggle switch, do I jumper
green and blue from the alarm wires or Actuator wires?
I'm thinking the alarm wires
I was right I it was the alarm side..Nevermind
