Hi I just upgraded my system, I had my car wired with 8 GA. and had a line out converter because of my factory head. Now I upgraded to a pioneer dvd double din and 4 Ga. wire and ground with an upgraded 12w3v3 and jl 500/1. The thing is the amp doesn't get power, I have the ground, power, and the rest of the wire hooked into it. The only one I am weary about is the remote lead. I have it spliced into the 12 volt switch in the trunk of my 1998 buick park ave. but stil nothing that is where it was hooked in before and worked fine. when i was removing the old sub it snagged the remote and pulled it from the wire it was wrapped around. Any suggestions on what I can do?

If it is a slash series amp, slide the signal sensing switch to the ON position.

12v switch in the trunk?
How does that switch activate?
Why did you not use the deck remote wire?
