2011 chevy tahoe vehicle wiring informati

I just purchased a Viper Model 5704 Vehicle Alarm with remote start, and a Xpress kit DBALL. I plan to install this into my wifes 2011 Chevy Tahoe LS. I use to be an alarm installer years ago an still tinker around with installations from time to time, but I know as all electronics they are always changing. I didn't see a vehicle wiring diagram for a 2011 Chevy Tahoe LS so i was wondering if anyone could help. Also since the last time I have installed a Car security system with a remote start was a long time ago are there any pointers that may help me with the install of this unit.I was also reading the quick installation guide, and it says to get a full installation guide to go to www.directechs.com I was unable to find anymore inforation there (Not sure if you need to be an authorized dealer to acccess that help). I was really wanting to install this system myself just to freshen up on some of my long lost skills, but with all the advanced technology will I be able to install the unit & perform all the programming.

Wiring info - http://readyremote.com/print.asp?action=select&yr=25437&product=Remote%20Start The DBALL will do most of the work for you (arm, disarm, locks, remote start, etc.) You will only need to connect a few wires such as 12v constant, ground, parking light (easy to get to at the switch itself), horn, ignition. A very straightforward install even if you haven't done an install in a little while.

The DB-ALL will need to be flashed with the 401.GM6 firmware to function properly in your Tahoe.  The

current version is v2.37.  DEI recommends using the RFLCHGM transponder loop to reduce powerconsumption while vehicle is parked / OFF.

Do I need any special equipment to flash the DBALL or can I use my laptop. If I can use the laptop are there any programs that i need to download to do so. I haven't really had a chance to look at the alarm yet, but i will try to complete the install this weekend.

you will need a FlashLoader to program it And access to the internet depending on the brand. Omega-link*, FlashLogic*, ADS-IdataLink*, all the same stuff need to be programmed.thetopinstaller

You will need an XKLoader2 and download and install XpressVIP 4.5 from the Xpresskit website xpresskit.com.

i would go with a dlpk no need to program and IMO they work great. We have a fleet of Chevy Silverados at work with remote start and we have used DLPK on all of them.

You might find a DB-ALL on E-Bay that the seller will flash it for your car.When all else fails, Read the Instructions
