This past winter we installed a avital 4113 with a xk06 plxr v3.0 bypass. Chevy just recalled their ignition switches and we had the the recall done today. Now the vehicle does remote start and did not want to start at all after attempting to remote start. I was able to get it started by snipping the ground when running wire to the bypass. What i noticed is the old key was just a circle now they gave a circle plus key. What would be needed to get this operational again?

I am told this will upgrade the immobilizer system as well so you may try the 07+ install. I will be going through this later this summer with my 2007 HHR

I am also going to demand an extra key for my inconvenience and worst case I will bury it.

Can anyone guide me into what i'd have to change to get this to work. On xpresskits site it list the xk06 as being able to work, but something has to change im sure.

Did a little searching and it looks like the bypass will have to be reflashed to pkg7 2.0 and rewired into the ignition accordingly
