Door lock relays

Hi all,

What kind of relays should I use for adding power door locks to my car (and hook them into my alarm system).

My alarm has a "Lock -" output and "Unlock -" output. But using a multimeter I discovered that:

Now will this kind of relay work for me ? http:///.com/dll?ViewItem&item=3014631007&category=14934&rd=1  (if these wont work what are the specs of the relays I should be using??).

Is 0.6 volts enough to trigger the relay coil. And will the 0.11 volts (at rest) trigger the relays too even though they shouldn't ??

The 2 "unlock -" and "lock - " outputs are togeather in some kind of male plug. I think i am supposed to buy an optional "door lock module" that plugs in. But i thought I could wire relays up to the two outputs myself.

What voltage is required to trigger relays?

i am curious about the digital multimeter you were using....if it is like mine....(not the cheapest you can find that is), it has a zero key....just like you would "tare" a scale, you can tare a multimeter....i know i often have to do that when my batteries are low or right after i replace them.....on to your voltage readings..... my alarm system is the Hornet 544t made by DEI....it's readings were .50 volts when activated .00 when not....and it has both the lock and unlock wires....the similarities on the readings (the .11+/- difference is probably the multimeter, or as auex said, your alarm may be toast)....the diagram shown below should be what you should use....
