from Alpine to....?

Hi guys I am thinking to change my Alpine amp MRD-M300 and alpine sub SWR-1541D for somethink better.I whant to make next step to a better quality sound.Any ideas on what amp and sub better than Alpine's one but not very expensive like eclipsecan you give me a few?Did anyone had experiense with this brands:"Directed audio" "Viper audio" ( i heard that they good, are they?) The Alpine stuff you have is pretty decent for sound quality, you might want to make sure you are using the right size enclosure. My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, so I made your horn louder"

I have the Alpine M300 but with a 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect DVC and I love the way it sounds. I upgraded from the Refrence series and it was like night and day. Both were in a QLogic 0.60 box, which is what Infinity recommended. Allan.
