Well, I stand corrected. I don't recall ever reading this in any of the install manuals for the 553 and 554, but I am also a freelance installer these days and don't do DEI daily. I guess I will experiment now to confirm since this will cut my time in efforts to bypass triggers. Thanks!

My alarm is suppose to do it but either it forgot or I didn't program correctly. I pop the back glass and full dang alarm..
Oh, my point was it's programmable in some cases wether it triggers the alarm or not. :)

The funciton of the AUX button in the remote config settings is to select the icon that will display when the Multiplexed Input channel goes off. (Zone 4 I think).
So hold all 4 buttons on the remote to enter the config menu. Then press the AUX button to cycle through HOOD/TRUNK/BOTH icons. When a Zone 4 sensor is tripped, it will display the icon you select.
