I already have a remote starter from my old vehicle and I really don't want to pruchase a universal alarm bypass module.

How can I just bypass the system? Can I just jump two wires?

no you need a bypass, or you can do the nasty and glue one of your keys to the ring around your ignition switch ,i dont recomend this your bypass is only about $20 DEI 555C

Is it possible to be any cheaper? You have a vehicle that cost tens of thousands of dollars and you want to hack it up and lose a security feature of the vehicle.

You can buy a bypass module for under $50 and you won't lose a key. Look for a DEI 555C online. There are other pieces available by other companies too. One place to try is www.autotoys.com

You are right, it is a pretty cheap move on my part. But I don't think this immobilizer is effective at all. IMHO if a thief wants to steal the vehicle, he could bypass the factory immobilizer in five seconds flat.

No he can't. You have absolutely no idea how it works, which is obvious by your posts. It can't be bypassed in 5 seconds flat.
