Hi all,

I'm debating on how to add keyless entry to my 99 GMC truck.  The truck came with manual door locks.  So what is the best way to go about this?   get to actulators, then the 2 relays and setup it up like the diagram.  then hook the audiovox keyless up to the lock/unlock part on the relay.   Will that work    All in cost is $85.

Or get the valiant kit, which is a keyless kit with the actulators include and is a simple plug in to get power locks and remote?   that kits cost $109 with shipping?

What due you think i should due.

thanks

either way would work.... i would go with a central door lock system.
that way fi your keyless went out, you would still have the electric door lock feature. soal has the door lock kits. shop around. most kits will work any keyless unit. if you can find a kit at a good $$$$, drop me a line.
Good Luck

thanks for the info.

What is soal?    do they have a website?

the central locking system i also looked at is 39.99 at a shop here in town.

If i went with getting the 2 different systems....add own actulators and the relays, how woudl i then hook up a keyless system?   just hook the wire from the keyless to the 30 on the relays?

if you go with the CDL system, the wiring info that comes with the kit will tell what wires to hook up. you will not have to wire up relays. just mount the motors and wire them up to the harness. the harness will then plug into the control box. most of your CDL will have a neg trigger for the door locks to work.
Good Luck
