I am trying to make an iPod holder for my car since i dont like any of the options i can buy.  I was gonna try fiberglass but it seems like there should be somethjing out there that is better.  i just need something that i can mold and then gets hard and wont break if i drop it or something.  Any ideas?

There is a plastic epoxy type liquid that hardens. Someone who reads this should know what I am talking about.

I beleive the name of the stuff you are refering to is kitty hair. It is a light fiberglass body filler. The other stuff that can be used is a polyester body filler. It is almost like plastic. The second of the two is more for filling pin holes and small imperfections.

The product is in fact a special plastic filler, not Kitty Hair. All body filler type product like Kitty Hair, Bondo and such will not stick to plastic long term, if the panel flexs the slightest bit it will chip right off.

You can get the plastic filler at most autobody shops. It is made by dominion sureseal and it's called Rigid filler.
