Hi, I'm installing a stereo system in a 1985 BMW 325e.  I'm trying to install a deck, amp, and four speakers and I'm having some difficulty.  Now I've got all the speakers in and the amp hooked up, but I'm having some problems.  First, every time you turn on the car, the CD player ejects the CD if you left one in it when you turned the car off.  The deck worked fine before in a different car so I'm not sure what the problem is.  Could I have hooked up the wrong wires?  I know I must have the ground and the remote turn on right.  Could it be a reversal of the 12+ and the ignition wires?  Thanks for your help.

As far as the head unit ejecting CDs, it sounds like you have the constant 12V lead of the head unit connected to a switched 12V lead. Double check your connections with a meter and let us know what you find.
