This is a repost just in case some people might need it...

i hope this helps anybody.... this is my writeup for making a neutral safety switch on a 1991 prelude and may work on other cars as well.. i used a magnetic reed swictch and magnets to acomplish this.. pls let me kno what u think.. i test it all the time and it works great...

http://preludepower.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21155

this will basically allow u to remote start ur vehicle and feel assured that its not in gear.... i'm not responsible for anything that happens when u try or use this.. its just my idea.. and my information.. pls make sure have an led.. setup.. so before u leave ur vehicle u test it to make sure it knows its not in gear...

This is kind-of a repeat post,but..look for an alarm with 'reservation mode',what this does is keeps the car running everytime you get out of the car, then when the door is closed,it shuts off the motor(so in theory you must be outside the car at this point..)then as long as the door isnt opened b4 you try a rs,it will do it..
as i also said in the other post, this could very well be a LIFE OR DEATH situation, less than a week ago a truck rs'ed with it in gear(Obviously not one i installed!)and hit the car next to me,i was 10 feet from possibly NEVER WALKING AGAIN,i guess i could still install stereos, boxes would be a pain huh? 6 feet under, life becomes impossible..
