so wiring the fog lights instead of the domelight is basically the same configuration, meaning relay wise.

You wont really have a problem with it draining your battery. I have mine light up for 30 seconds after i turn offf the ignition. Thats all my running lights, 2x55 watt fogs, and my HID's. 92 explorer, red top optima, and 160amp alt. Just gotta figure the wireing. Your alarm might have an aux output with a timer and just use a relay at that point.

I think he was figuring on using the dome supervision..
correct?
if you will be activating a few relays(3 or more) i would activate 1,then have that activate the rest..that way you wont overload the output..@ 200 ma a relay, thats a little over 1/2 amp, which is a low limit on some transistors..
better not to take the chance..i think..
i would use a few relays anyway..they can be overloaded too..more surge than constant,i dunno how the lights act @ startup? i would kick on the system with an ammeter/mm just to check, hopefully it can 'record'(max/min) the readings..graphing would be better, because if its for like 50 ms or less,i dont think tahts a big deal, but get up into 200+,use a couple relays at least..nitrogen/argon filled would prevent carbon buildup on the contacts, but 3 bosch regular relays would be alot cheaper!
sometimes surge on fog lights can be 3x or more than the running current..
