Hey,

I have a 99 Camaro and just installed the viper 791xv alarm on it, like 4 months ago.  I last light while I was driving the like came on CHECK GAUGES,  so I am wondering if it has something to do with the remote start or could it be the battery, because it also shows me that errow that battery is on those red little dots, and it's not suppost to be there.

Thanks,

Let me know if anybody know,

I will take it to a mechanic like in a day or two.

Was your gas tank low? That usually means the gas in the car is low.

Check gauges light means exactly that, check your gauges. You might have been running hot, low on gas, low voltage, or oil pressure. If it was the check engine light then that would be something differant.

It is probably the charging system, since the batt is close to red.

Well, as I was driving last light, the car turned off, just turned off, I was lucky it was right around the corner of my house.  So, I took booster cables and try to turn it on with my brother's car, and bingo, the car started right away, and check gauges light wasen't there no more.  So, I think it's the battery, maybe ran out.  I will get a new battery today and I will see.

If the car dies while running then your alternator is at fault. Get it checked immediately.
