Ok this Prostart unit claims to have some sort of secure Locl programmable feature that can Override OEM security systems... It does this by when you press start button it will unlock doors..thus disarming the security system..and then start the car.. and then once started relock the doors and reenable security... this sounds too good to be true...

Does anyone know if this will work on a 2001 Saturn SL1... ??? I really need to know, for if it does work, i dont want to pay some installer an extra like $100 for no reason...

Says it can override if the cars alarm uses the Factory Lock wire to arm, and the Factory Unlock Wire to disarm...???

HELP!!!

P.S. Anyone know a good installer in Calgary... or if you are one and want to make some cash??

Thanks

That a simple factory disarm that every remote starter comes with.  It is simple to attach a disarm wire from your aftermarket remote starter to your vehicle factory disarm wire.  I believe your SL1 has a yellow/black.

This will override the factory security, but you will still need a bypass module for the passlock II in your car.
