Need help with Kenwood

I was installing a remote start/alarm for a customer, and apparently I messed something up. His kenwood tv/dvd player no longer works. When I disconnected the battery, it lost its memory, now its asking for a security code. Customer swears up and down that he knows nothing about any code and that he can barely work the tv, let alone enable a security code. Bottom line is... I need an unlock code for a kenwood KVT-911DVD because this guy is getting pretty irate. The faster the better!! Please help me.!!!

I know exactly where you're coming from. I know the codes can be bad if they fall into the wrong hands. I'm not just some kid off off the street, I'm an installer. If you can help me please pm me and delete this post . PLEEEEZE!!!!!!

Wouldnt the internal security code be powered by some sort of battery in the unit?

if so then it would be just like a BIOS battery in a computer, take it out for 10 minutes and all the settings are returned to the factory defaults

Now it would be your call if you wanted to take apart the head-unit or not

No, you didnot mess anything up. The deck has a security code to prevent operation if stolden.  This is a feature of the deck.  The deck code is programed by the customer I believe.  The 910 had factory code.  Regardless the customer should have written down the code or it should be in the mannual for this unit.  This is the customer's responability, it's his unit, his car, he should know the code.   If a shop put in the unit and didn't give him the code, it's thier fault for not informing the customer of the code.  If noone has the code send it back to a Kenwood dealer to get fixed.  The customer should have infomed you that the deck was coded and didn't have the code so you could have taken steps to prevent this problem.  We all get blamed for stuff that's our fault, but the customer must share in this for his ignorance!!!
