remote starters for manual transmission

    I'm about to install a manual prostart in my 2000 honda accord.I've done plenty of automatic ones before but this will be my first manual one.my question is,what do i do to bypass the clutch?which wires? i tried t get some answers from the canadian tire store where i bought the starter but they want to install it for me,and i understand that.any info will be helpful.thanks, ted

1st make sure you buy an alarm designed for manual trannsmissions.  thats a biggie.

2nd you;ll make a relay that is energized during the remote start process to simulate the clutch being pushed in.  i think its a (-) trigger if i remember right.

Go to Carsound.com and research the subject. There are many ways to safely integrate RS with manual transmissions. Ive devised mag switch systems placed on all gears of the shift gate and had tie ins with the E-brake and reverse lights to ensure the car is not in gear. Some vehicles nowadays have sense wires going to the BCM when a car is in gear.

Clifford remote start systems work perfectly with manual transmissions and even diesels.

They have a "safe start" mode that actually arms the alarm first and then shuts the vehicle off for you, so it knows it's in neutral and the parking brake is on. The range is up to 1200' and all the wires you need come right out of the brain. If the alarm triggers you can't remote start because a thief may have put the car in gear. I haven't seen anything better in my career.

This Prostart is the same as the Clifford system. You have to first close all doors and hood, put the car in neutral, then start the car, put the park brake on, push the start button on your remote, then take the key out, get out of the car and close the door, then push the start button on the remote, then the car will sut off and be ready to be started by the remote.
