I have installed a Hornet Remote Start Alarm System and the battery dies after a month and will no longer charge by the altenator. Can anyone help.

Could it be the alternator?
Is it an older Ford? Someone in my shop once missed an accessory wire on an old Ford that actually turned on the alternator so it would charge the battery. Car would be remote started and would be draining the battery until the person put the key in. Doing that over and over can kill the battery quickly. Test the cars voltage at the battery with it remote started.
Could be a lot of things. We need more info. Vehicle make/model/year for starters.

I'll 2nd the starter kill relay, make sure you use ground when armed for 85 and ingintion 12volts for 86, that way it only gets activated if someone trys to start the car

The car is a 2002 ford ranger 2x4.  There are two asscesory wires one controls the radio and the other one controls the heat.  I have it just hooked to the assecory wire for heat.  Does this other asscesory wire control the altenator on a 2002 ford ranger and does anyone have a wiring diagram for a ford ranger 2002.
