I have a 2002 Ranger 2x4 and a Hornet remote start alarm.  Now the alarm only has one

Accessory wire and the truck has two.  Accessory one turns on the radio and other stuff I guess and Accessory two turns on the Heat do you need both of these hooked up in order to run the vehicle.  And if so How do you hook them up and could some one get me a wiring diagram for a 2002 Ford Ranger thanks.

That's easy attech a wire from the accessory wireand hook up a relay to 85 and gound to 86, pin 87 goes to 12v with 30amp then pin 30 goes to 2nd Accessory on the vehicle.  ignore pin 87a

make sure you use the ground output from the remote start going to the relay for the first acc otherwise the relay will be on all time when the car is running.

NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System). Use DEI module 555U to over-ride during remote start.  *1 The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is to the left of the radio.  *2 The driver door trigger is yellow/black and the passenger door(s) is gray/red. Use both wires and diode isolate as shown in directfax document #1076.  *3 The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is on the top of the firewall under the hood towards the passenger side. The tachometer wire is in pin 48. Can also get tach at the ignition coil or coil pack. Use any of the tan/stripe wires.  *4 The GEM in this vehicle shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period, to 'wake-up' the system refer to directfax document #1093.

I haven't done a Ranger specifically....but I've done quite a few Explorers, and never have had to hook up the radio wire.

Just hook your one (orange) accessory wire to the heater wire in the car, and go ahead and remote start it.  If the heater works, and there are no warning lights on the dash like ABS or air bag, then you're all set.

If any of the warning lights do happen to come on during remote start, don't freak out....they'll go away when you turn the key on; no harm done.  You'll still probably want to go back and set it up so these lights don't come on, but it's okay to at least try it without the radio wire first.
