Good Evening,

I have read through a ton of posts and I hope I am not re-doing but...

I have a 05 Grand Caravan SXT. (Valet 561R R/S) It has the key in the remote (new style) sentry and I have tried 100+ ways to get the 555c programmed w/ no luck. One poster stated will not work w/ V2 (headed key) Is this the case? has anyone done one of these w/ a 555c or should I use the 555U? This is the 1st time I have tried the chip version. I have used the 555u w/ no issues many time. Tired of spending money on keys...  Thanks!

You must use a spare key. The 555c wont work with the new caravan keys. Sorry dude but you need to spend money on another key. Make sure you dont get a key with the remote. Just get a basic coded key, they fit inside the box and do the same job, as well as cost less

Do what i do, buy a gray Chrysler key on Ebay for 10 bucks, have Ace hardware cut it for free, and code it yourself. Buy a 555U or 556U and never have a problem again....

The part # for the newer "S" style Chrysler keys is the 556C. Why call them "S" style you may wonder??/ There's an S stamped into the shank close to the head.....
