1998 Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6
JBL 1200.1 AMP
(2) Audiobahn ALUM12X
(2) American Accessories 1 Farad Caps
4 AWG Wiring
I need little help....i got my system all hooked up with the (2) 1 Farad power caps on my amp and i'm lights are dimming like mad...do you guys think if i pick up another 2 Farad Cap it will fix the problem or what?

Also i want to state that my alternator if 120AMPS and that car is fully loaded power everything but yea....please help me with the problem

How is your battery ? When was the last time it was metered or checked for charginf capacity ?

If your amp is 1200 watts, I would change to a 2gauge power wire. Also make sure you have a really good ground with atleast 4 gauge ground wire. Have your battery checked out, most places do it for free.

Had the battery and charging system all checked out........i've had this problem in a 97 Ford Ranger also...and i'm currently running a 4AWG ground right now

Just to update u guys....i decided to add another battery with a battery isolator...and run my system off of that....if u have any suggestions let me know...
