Strobe Lights

If i'm thinking correctly,you could wire it into another channel on your alarm that will be activated by a channel on the remote.You would need a relay wired into that channel to create a switch point.."ole blake"

Did you install the Viper yourself? Do you have the install manual, as well as any extra wiring plugs that weren't used in the original install? You'll need to be familiar with relays to do this, but you can read all about them on this site, off to the left. Anyway, get the Viper's install manual, and read about the "channel 4" auxilary output. You want to go into programming and set it to "latched, reset with ignition." That means that one push of the remote turns on the output forever, and another push turns it off.......but as soon as you turn on the key, it automatically shuts off.......this way, you don't get pulled over if you forget to shut off the strobes. Anyway, that output is only a weak ground.....just enough to trigger a relay and that is all.........use the output to trigger the relay, and the relay to apply power to the strobes: 85, 87: FUSED 12 volts 87A: not used 86: aux output from alarm 30: + output for strobes. ----------------------------------- As far as making the strobes flash when the alarm is triggered....... Find the wire going from the alarm to the siren...I think it's brown? Cut it in half. Connect two heavy (at least 6-amp) diodes to the "alarm" side of the wire..........connect the other end of one of the diodes back to the siren........connect the other diode to the strobes. This will also cause a small strobe flash with arm and disarm, when the siren chrips, but that shouldn't be bothersome.
