i also downloaded, thx for the link

i was thinkin like 1-2". the area under the sub should vented as well right? like you wouldnt want to seal them off to the floor?

I say go for it...I did a 12w7 in a chevy dually op front ported...AWESOME!! it slams be prepared to adjust the distance it is from the floor though. I noticed it got louder as I gave it slightly more space...but I love downfiring/loading/cornerloading/boardloading....I am loading my 2 13w7's and its LOUD!!! and I played with the subs to get the best of all worlds....in a trunk..
do it right the first time ....or do it again and again and again...

I left 2" even. once it sat tight on the carpet probly 1.5" works great i love it.

i'm thinkin i was gunna have the subs downfiring and the ports on the same plane as the subs, with about 2" in between the subs and the floor
