'97 S10 Blazer Can I hook my white second ignition wire to my pink ignition wire to clear this up. How do I clear the light after this is done? Is this correct to solve the problem, is the white wire causing my service engine soon light, because I do not have it hooked up yet. My system is a Avital 4001 Please help!

The white wire must be hooked up. I don't know too much about your R/S sytem but you should have a 2nd ignition output.. probably negative. You will have to use a relay.... DO NOT CONNECT BOTH IGNITION WIRES TOGETHER.

My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?

I do have a second ignition output - Can you walk me thru on how to hook up a relay. I have a Bosch 12v 20/30A. How do I clear the service light?

87 & 86 = 12 volts constant

30 = out to 2nd ignition in car

85 = ( - ) input from remote start

Thanks to all posters! Does anyone know how to clear the service light or will it clear after I hook this up?

You should disconnect the battery for 15 min and it should clear the CEL. If it doesn't take it to a local autozone and have them scan the diagnostic port and they will reset the bcm for you.
