I just installed a new alarm into this echo and everything workes good...except...for the power locks. they work fine right away. but after a short while they will no longer unlock until after the key has been turned on then off. this includes the stock switch in the car. the wires that I found in the kick panel lock no problem...but...needed a double pulse to do the unlock so I went right to the switch that is in the center console area. Any ideas would be great..thanks in advance.

cant see any reason why it would be acting up, did it have a stock alarm? it should just disarm with the unlock, might want to make sure that the alarm is not getting its outputs stuck on also.

what lock wires did you use?

was it

Power Lock BLACK/ red to BROWN / yellow  -  driver kick, 14 pin plug
Notes: Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.
Power Unlock blue / YELLOW to yellow/black  -  driver kick, 14 pin plug
Notes: Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder. Unlock requires a double pulse.
Can also use the passenger door key cylinder wire for unlock, which only requires a single pulse. It is GREEN/ black (-) in the passenger kick in a 14 pin plug

if so you need to use the disarm wire w/ 5 wire relay or you can use the keysense wire like so

Keysense yellow  -  ignition harness
Notes: Using the status output from the remote start to trigger this wire will disarm the factory alarm without unlocking the doors.

hope this helps
yeh? i can do that?
see! told ya!
