I had a Sony Xplod 800w amp with 2 12" Boss Subs. Now the problem is that I got a 1200w amp kit that has this huge fuse connected directly to positive terminal on battery and   traced back to the amp in the trunk.
Now the amp does not turn on! When measured with a multimeter it shows about 1.1v but when I connect a cable with no fuse in it then it shows 14v+
Before this happened the amp worked pretty good (over heated after a while) . So first thing i did was get a better amp kit (before the 1200w one i had a 300w kit) then I returned the amp thinking it was fried or something since it didn't work with the no fuse method anymore.
Now I have a MDX (Or is it MXD?) 1200w amp and its happening again! When connected directly from battery to amp it turns on, but with fuse (which is not burnt out) it does not power on.
Any clue on whats going on? Even if I use another cable that has a fuse in it, it still doesn't power on. Its not liking the fused cables at all!
Any solution?

I'd first try buying a new fuse holder and a new fuse and go from there.

And just incase you missed it, the fuse is bad. The fuse can look good, but if one end of it has a poor solder connection, it will not work. Replace the fuse.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
