I don't know anyone that has a DEI 562T installed in their car to ask. So I hope someone that has experience with one will answer a question for me. If using the OEM remote to lock/unlock the doors does this "arm/disarm" the 562T so the built in starter kill and anti-grind feature works? Or does this only work using the DEI remote?

Yeah, you must use the DEI remote for that.
If you're planning on using the DEI remote for the remote start, and the OEM remote for the locks...........the DEI starter kill feature can be VERY confusing for customers, especially if they don't know about it. They'll hit "lock" on the DEI remote, and then wonder why their car won't start.
Either program the starter kill feature off (antigrind should still work), or be very, very careful to explain the feature to the customer.
