how do i connect 5 car battery to each other...to power my big plasma tv and where i do hook up the power inverter , how poweful do i need.

What kind of plasma do you have? I've never heard of needing 5 car batteries for this kind of thing.

Well... anyways, if you really want to do that. Connect all of the positives together and all the negatives together and ground to a clean ground. Recommend using a minimum 4 gauge cables.

It sounds more like your trying to put in a 42" Plasma and some hydraulics. Bellracer was right connect the positives all together but I have always been told different sbout the negative. I was told to ground each on its on spot

i have to agree with caraudio904 on that, ground each negative to a clean ground, and since your going to be putting 5 batts. i would sugguest eather getting a hd alt. or another alt all together so you can recharge them and such
