when using a relay for a fuel pump kill switch is wiring it this way a bad idea?
30: fuel pump wire to pump
86+87: fuel pump wire from dash
85: to toggle switch

Toggle switch to ground. I would use 87A instead of 87, that way the relay is only active when the switch is on and the key is on and less stress on the relay(flip switch on when getting out of car). I don't recommend fuel pump cut off because relays can go out and leave you stranded.

its a SPST so no 87a   and yes the other side of the toggle is grounded.
My real concern is not using a dedicated power source and instead using the power which would normally go to the fuel pump. Should I be worried about using it this way?
