I have 2 12" Alpine type r's. in a custom ported box tuned to 30 hz. It is powered by 1 MRD M1005 amp, pushing 1000 rms into 2 ohms. I was wondering how to set the gains to get the most power from my amp. The manual for the amp says to match the gain to the voltage of the preout on the deck. I have an Alpine CDA-9847 deck. It has 2 volt preouts. So should i set the gain on the amp to 2 volts? Thanks in advance for any and all help!
