my friend got a dvd player and when he plays a dvd movie the sound is good and has no problems, but when he plays a regular CD it sounds very destorted. I told him it was the dvd player and not a crossed wire(which he thought)because the sound travels through the same wires no matter what he plays. I was just wandering what you guys thought, and to see if any one else had this problem. he has a Legacy dvd all i know about it is that Pyle has the same one.

the main problem is that pyle/legacy just isnt that good of a brand. he should have spent a couple hundred extra and sprung for and alpine, pioneer, or pansonic.

I think it may be the laser pick device. The DVD uses a different laser than the CD does. If it still has warranty from the place he got it from, I suggest trying out a different unit.
