power failure, 2002 ford explorer

Dear Pros, I got a problem on my hands. I am the owner of an optima yellow top now for about 4 years for my 2002 Ford Explorer. I'm running about 5000 Watts of power between my two amplifiers but I recently moved to an area where it is constantly 10 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. My car doesn't start now unless I have a jump and when I jump it, when I let off the gas the car immediately stalls. when I turn the key, no power exists at all. I can't do anything. So what do I need to do to fix this? Is there a battery you know of that can handle -30 degrees and still power a serious stereo system of about 7500 W peak? The one I have does it in warm weather but in the cold it can't do anything. It won't even start my car. I need something that has 2 different terminals but i need a lot of cold cranking amps I guess... Thanks, deutscheland ps. I prefer Optima but I'm open to other options

There are not too many single batteries that are going to handle 5000 Watts RMS. What amps are you running that you have that much power? and how many alternators do you have?2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR

I have 1 250 Amp H/O Alternator. I'm running a Cadence ZRS-9 & ZRS-4. The ZRS9 is @ 1.3333 ohms while this ZRS 4 is at Bridged @ 4 ohms. The battery i have ran fine in warm weather and supported me for power, but now i need something for 20 below or worse... Thanks, deutscheland

I will have to check but I believe the zrs9 is somewhere around 1000 watts is it not?   looks like if you have a truck you could look into something sealed like the kinetik 2400 or powermaster d3100.2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR

I haven't heard of those batteries before, but what is crucial here is it is able to supply power to the amps: 1. At Peak Levels 2. At Extreme subzero temperatures (-30 Fahrenheit) Keep in mind i have a 250 Amp H/O Alternator. deutscheland

I offered you a suggestion, and you wont recieve a better suggestion then that. The kinetik 2400 and the powermaster D3100 are 1700-1800 CCA batteries, Sealed cell, and will preform in low tempature and high current applications.2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR

So there is no optima that you can recommend to fit my situation? If not, please give me a link to where I can find those batteries at the most affordable price.

Alright from what I can find you have 1400-1500RMS not 4000-5000.   The ZRS9 is 1000@1 ohm and the ZRS4 is 125x4     If you have a 250 amp alternator you should be fine.   I dont know what optima's CCA rating teampature is at, but I have seen test results for the kinetiks at -30 and they perform quite well. Something that's not mentioned here.  Have your alternator tested.  If it's dying on you when you let off the gas, then that may be an issue as well.  I know it's a H.O. alternator, but who says it can't be defective?  May want to check the belt also.  Could be that the alternator isn't spinning enough to charge/power everything.
