What are the colors of the TX, RX, power and ground wires going to the four pin connector under the ignition switch? Is it possible to grab these at the wire loom under the lower front part of the dash underneath the steering column?

Should be PURPLE / gray RX. Yellow/orange TX. @ the transponder module under the column.

OR RED / black RX, BROWN / orange TX
