Most unit (like astro and compustar) double the runtime for diesels, would this programable feature not be sufficiant?

Simply understand you need to start the truck "earlier" than you normally would    I don't know?

Unfortunately on most new diesels utilizing a heater grid the alternator makes just over 12 volts (12.4 on average) while the heater grid is active while at idle, not the 14.4 volts you would typically see.  I am a chrysler technican (as well as a Toyota tech) and I am in the middle of North Dakota (temp last nite was -30 before wind chill) we standardly enable the idle up feature on the diesels here as part of the new vehicle prep, once the intake temp is at 60 degrees or above (when the engine warms up) the heater grids shut down

So if this feature is active, it should work during remote start....correct?

The grid heaters I dont think are a problem I got good batteries and have never noticed the that the truck was suffering from not enough voltage to properly start and run the grid heaters while it is idleing.

The truck has a bit of high idle built into the ecm that it will idle up to 800-900rpm when idling while its cold out. But the high idle feature I want to enable has to be physical done doesnt matter if the truck was remote started or not I have to go in the truck and increase the idle with the cruise buttons, thats what I want to do from the remote so I dont have to go to the truck and increase I want to do it from inside the house. It has a compustar 8000 and it really doesnt matter what the runtime is these diesel engines take for ever to warm up unless they idling around 1200rpm and its harder on the engine idling at low rpms for a long period of time.

yes it sends a command to the FCM ( front control module) which then enables, either cruise or high idle, the command would have to be done via a data module since I know no other way to duplicate a data command other than that
