I had a Viper 1002 Alarm put in my truck by some "kids" at mobile one. After they installed it, when you closed the door and armed it, after the dome light went off the alarm would go off. Their solution to it was just to cut the dome wire. That's not a solution. I didn't realize it till I was home. I need to fix it myself since these kids have no clue what they are doing. How can I get this to work properly with this alarm and also make it turn off the dome light immediately after arming the alarm/locking doors like it did before? Any help would be appreciated.

the unit should have a programming option to allow dome light delay. If you double pulse the LOCK, it will turn off domelight.

Looks like they didn't know how to program it. I'll research a bit more or bring to someone else Thanks

Hey I found that wordage on a piece of paper they gave me when I was thinking of installing myself. Obviously they didn't read that. So they should have hooked up the door triggers instead of the dome or both?
