Hey guys,   first time poster, long time reader.

I'm getting to start my system in my avalanche and wanted to know what you guys thought, good, bad, suggestions, comments.

4 - Kicker 07CVR10-4     10" Dual 4 ohm 800 watts wired together in 2 ohm.

Kicker 06zx1500.1          1500 watt RMS Class D mono to power the subs

Kicker 05KS652 6.5" Components for the fronts

Kicker 05KS65 6.5" 2-way for the rear doors

Kicker 06ZX350.4    350 watts x 4 channels

This will all be connected to a CarPC going to a Kicker KX2 2-way crossover to both amps then to speakers.

What do you guys think?  I'll take any advice.  I thought about upgrading to the 2500.1 amp but thought it might be too much.

Let me know.

Allen

That should sound pretty good. Are you going to be making a box out of the midgate?

Loud, that's for sure.

You'll need a HO (high-output) alternator. Your factory one is either 105 or 145amp. Oh, and the Big3.

Yes to everyone of you.

Along with the stereo, the following will also be done.

Big 3 upgrade, Replace stock battery with Optima Red Top, Add a 2nd battery (Optima Yellow Top), and upgrade alternator to probably a 250amp HO.

The subbox will replace the midgate.

Sounds good. But, use 2 identical batteries. Within 6months old of each other. Redtops are better for car audio, and less expensive.advice on this system setup. -- posted image.

Otherwise, looks good.

Where are you going to be putting that extra battery? I have an Avalanche too as you can see in my signature, an extra battery would help me tonnes for at shows.

Good advice here; you really want to use 2 batteries of the same make and model, and ideally of the same age. This will help minimize the chances of one from being weaker and pulling a charge from the stronger one...

Oh, and sounds like your system is gonna slam byt the way advice on this system setup. -- posted image.
