i am using a astra 4000 2 way and a directed bypass module with the spare key dont know part # already in vehicle from previous. when you have the car running key in ignition and then hit the pitstop function(remote start button)it will run for about three to ten seconds after you remove the key and then die(shut off). but then it restarts right away with the remote start automatically. even tried replacing the alarm module itself doesnt change anything. any knowledge on this matter or advice would be a great help thanks.

It sounds to me like it's not getting the right tach signal to me. Where did you connect the tach signal for the van ?

Find the tach signal at the coil and attach your tach wire from the RS to the coil wire. Using voltage sense doesn't always work especially if you didn't attach your constant wire to a large enough gauge wire.
