depends on if your rs has ground outs - and if they send a good solid ground or not - try like KarTuneMan says 1st before going to the trouble of setting up relays

As long as the door lock outputs of the alarm are (-) you don't need to use relays. Just wire in the diodes and resistors like kartunemans diagram says. If you wanted to use relays you can....nothing wrong with being safe.

86 on both relays 12v

85  (-) lock or unlock from alarm

87 ground on both relays

30  1 relay gets proper resistance for lock, and pin 30 on the other relay gets resistance for unlock.

87a is not used

There is no resistance for lock, just unlock. What kind of alarm is it?

The lock/unlock wire is ORANGE / Black and can be found in the gray 24 pin connector of the BCM in cavity B3. You need a ground pulse through a 480 ohm resistor to lock the doors and a ground pulse to unlock the doors. Don't use diodes inline as they add resistance to the circuit. If your unit has negative door lock/unlock outputs, connect the units unlock wire directly to the ORANGE / black wire. Connect the units lock wire to terminal #85 of a relay. Terminal # 86 to a fused battery source (12 volts +), Terminal # 30 to a good ground, Terminal # 87 to one end of 480 ohm resistor and the other end of the resistor to the ORANGE / black wire. If your car has a factory alarm, then a bit more wiring will be needed to arm/disarm it.
