Problem With Alarm Door lock

Need some advise on power door locks on a 1996 town and country minivan i got it lock part too work with a 1.5 ohm Resistor  on the alarm but i cant get the unlock too work i even use the 249ohm Resistor but i wanna know if  the ground is not enought and if i need too use any relays to step up the ground please email me back if any can

Hey i4u2cravei,

The selected resistor values are correct if you don't have a factory alarm on this van.  If there is an alarm then it's a 4020 ohm for lock and a 665 for unlock.  In either case you MUST USE RELAYS for lock and unlock.  An alarm module sends a negative pulse through transistors but it's not a true ground pulse.  Problem With Alarm Door lock - Last Post -- posted image.
