I bought an UltraStart 1270TL to install in my '94 Ranger and wanted to make sure I had everything straight before I got started.
I've installed a few alarms but never a remote start. The truck currently has an Audiovox Prestige alarm installed but not by me. I plan to remove it while I install the UltraStart because I don't even have remotes for it anyway.
I found this chart on the Bulldog website:
1994 Ford Ranger
When I cross reference that with the installation manual from the UltraStart (Found Here) I get this:
UltraStart      -->     Truck    Location
YELLOW          -->     RED / LIGHT BLUE (+)     IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
GREEN           -->     GRAY / YELLOW (+)          IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
RED             -->     YELLOW (+)          IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
RED             -->     YELLOW (+)          IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
BLUE            -->     RED / LIGHT GREEN (+)     IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
WHITE           -->     BLACK/ LIGHT GREEN (+)     IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
WHITE           -->     BROWN (+)          HEADLIGHT SWITCH or at FUSEBOX
GREEN / WHITE     -->     Hood Pin
BLACK           -->     GROUND
PINK            -->     LIGHT GREEN (+)          SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL
BLUE/WHITE      -->     GRAY/ORANGE          IGNITION MODULE, in front of the BATTERY
Also, on the door locks the Bulldog says they're "Type C" and have to be wired with relays like this. Is that correct?

The first white wire from the UltraStart is the "2nd Ignition" and the second white is the parking lights.
What is a "2nd ignition" anyway? It was listed on both the truck and the ultrastart so I just assumed they went together.
