autopage 2 way key fob

I have the Autopage 860 and it has worked flawlessly for the last few years since the install, however, now the 2-way LCD key fob no longer says its "in range". The temp doesn't show, doesn't show whether it is armed or unarmed, car is remote started etc. However all the functions of the alarm still work from the key fob. Has the key fob gone bad or the brain? If the two way is bad where can I buy another one? Thanks in advance for any info.

change the battery?

Yep. First thing I did. Fresh one. Still nothing. I did drop it pretty hard about a week ago so I'm thinking its toast. Found a place that sells them but they aint cheap!
