PLEASE let them leave this industry... Maybe we can get back some of the real "Glory Days" car audio products of the past!
Since DEI took over so many once GREAT products, I refer mostly to a/d/s, Orion, Precision, Clifford, Polk, Definitive... Once very nice stuff... Some still pretty good, but overall... <Dave shakes his head>
I see noting in any corporate press releases mentioning this, though.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Maybe this is what your rep heard.  The company has split operations into multiple units.  LINK to official press release.

dei getting out of car audio? - Last Post -- posted image. I to am shocked. With the amount of money they spent on redoing the orion line this is doubtful. they did phase out the dei xtreme line though.

I dont think so, like xtremej said they there getting rid of the exteme line and not 100% sure but I think their going to get rid of the WCC orion stuff (thank god). They have a new full line of orion colbolt entery level stuff.  I was at the training a few weeks back and they did not metion anything like that, and they replaced all the extreme stuff that was in that gmc trunk and replaced it with the colbolt stuff.   They have also put alot of work into the new hcca sub.  So I dont think their going anyware with car audio.
