Have you used a meter to verify that the amp is seeing a 1 ohm load?   That amp wired into a (.)25 ohm load will do exactly what you are saying it is doing.

Will do tomorrow will post my findings, but the amp stays cool and I have them wired just like the diagram in the subwoofer wiring guide in this site, but I will whip out the meter because befor I put in the brutus I had an auto tek sm1 1000w and it did the same thing and I just thought the amp couldn't handle the 4 -10's.

After checking with my dmm I was getting good current to the amp, but I screwed up and had them wired at .5 ohms., its all good now

If you had it connected to 4 DVC 2Ohm drivers, it was at (.)25 Ohms. It was reading (.)5 because of the resistance of your meter leads. You dodged a bullet.
