Ok so here is an odd one for you guys... I am installing a keyless system in my sisters car. I get into it and I find an aftermarket keyless system already installed in here. It looks pretty barebone but there is no marking or ID of any kind on the brain. Any ideas on how I can figure out what type of system this is? Could save me alot of time if I could just find the remote for this sytem
Thanks in advance

Why do you need to know what it is? You have a new unit, correct? Install it!

Get you DMM out, test whats connected to the "unidentified unit"  to verify, and connect the new unit!

it could just be a dealer installed option. sometimes the units they use dont have markings, they're just cheap

often dealer installed units are outsourced and are often very cheap units indeed. done with no labour warrantee, no product warrantee. newer cars are better for that because dealer installed units are actually dealer installed and oem parts.

if there's no markings or stickers or writing on the unit there's almost no way you're gonna find out what it is, much less will a remote be available. usually only the cheaper units have no id and even if a remote is available to buy for it, the price is higher than a new system.
