Take your volt meter and check the voltage at the terminal of the amp. Black lead on the ground terminal of the amp and red lead to the positive terminal. You must have the volume up close to the point of the amp shutting off.   You must have the black lead on the terminal of the amp, not to the chassis of the car.

im having the same issue kinda, when i turn my radio up loud, it shuts off the radio. I found out that if i unhook my rca from my sub it doesnt turn off. Try testing your remote wire and see if that voltage drops

use a voltmeter to test the voltage on your remote wire. your remote wire should stay at 12 volts

Ok I forgot to mention that about four or five month's ago I had some issue's an I got my license takin away, so I let my dad take my car, before he took it I pulled out my amp an sub, I disconnect the power from the battery an the ground, but I left the rca's an the remote connect. Well when I got my car back I got new rca's. So I pretty sure it's the remote since I've replace the rca's. Stupid of my part to leave them connect, So do you think that could be it?
