I have a DEI Python 571XP installed on my wife's '08 Jeep Compass. All is well except when the doors auto lock (doesn't matter if started with remote or with key), the horn honks. It didn't do this before the install, and it's not set to do it in the car's computer as far as I can tell. I had it installed at American (Midwest retail store), and the guy that installed doesn't really have any ideas left on how to make it stop doing this. I have the manual, etc, and cosider myself competant with electronic settings, etc, so if anybody has an idea on how to turn this annoying feature off I am willing to try it.

P.S. My brother said his gf's new Chrysler Sebring does the same thing with a starter installed at the dealer.

Are you saying I should make it so the doors don't auto lock?
