Just recently put  remote start in 08 tundra using excaliber rs-310 + 2 - way upgrade. I had trouble finding the lock / unlock wires. They are supposed to be red unlock and white lock. I found a light blue that looks almost white that seems to work ok for lock and a red that works for unlock. but the customer says that he has been having trouble with the unlock. Does anyone have any info like a different wire or something?   THANKS

Did you use the doorlock wires that test off the switch in the door panel, or the ones that test off the key cylinder on the outside?
You sould be using the key cylinder wires.
The unlock switch wire goes dead if the doors are locked first, and then closed.

I used the wires that test with the key in the door. Maybe thats why he had trouble if the doors werent closed before he locked it.

guess i should have read a little farther in the post of the 08 tundra wiring info posted on this website.(Sorry) further down someone says to use the arm/disarm wires. though i am still confused ??  One person said the arm is light blue and disarm is pink and the other says the opposite? Guess i Will find out when i look the vehicle over tom. I think light blue is arm/lock cause that is the color i have the r/s lock wire hooked to now. I have the unlock hooked to red though so maybe that it why the customer is having the problem with unlock.

Power Unlockred -driver kick, blue 17 pin plug, pin 6
Note:Need to use both the power unlock wire and the factory alarm disarm wire in order for the doors to unlock.

Factory Alarm Armlt. blue to purple -driver kick, blu 17 pin plug, pin 14
Note:Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder. This wire will also lock the doors.

Factory Alarm Disarmpink to black - driver kick, blu 17 pin plug, pin 16
Note:Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder. This wire will also unlock the doors with a double pulse. Also found at the BECU, 26 pin plug, pin 10. The Body ECU is attached to the right side of the fuse box, above the driver kick panel.
